HumBugz Policies

HumBugz accepts late/rolling enrollment at prorate, *space permitting*. Priority registration will be given to currently enrolled families for the following semester.  Contact the center for more information and to complete enrollment once the semester is in progress. Family Rates apply to children in the same immediate family/siblings.

By enrolling in a Music Together class at HumBugz,LLC, a licensed Music Together center, you agree that any information you provide will be shared with Music Together Worldwide (MTW). For information about how MTW uses and stores your personal information, we encourage you to review the Music Together Worldwide Privacy Policy. 

Make up classes are allowed within a given semester, space permitting. Makeup carry-over classes are not permitted unless special arrangements are made with the center director prior to the end of the semester. You may not carry over any makeup classes if you are not registered for the upcoming semester.

Please do not come to class if you or your little one is sick, or suspect you are getting sick. Please follow CDC guidelines, or direction from your physician for medical clearance to avoid passing or contracting communicable disease. We serve young children with age-related susceptible immune systems. Although we want to share in the fun, we do not want to share our germs. We do not require any proof of vaccination. We do encourage following vaccination recommendations as discussed and planned with your private physician(s). We also encourage hand washing/cleaning before and after class. HumBugz provides hand sanitizer and wash sink. We also sanitize instruments and touch surfaces regularly. We will certainly work with you to coordinate make up classes or to make alternative arrangements to participate in class in the event of missed classes due to illness.

HumBugz will cancel class if weather poses a safety risk for travel,  staff illness, shortage, or other unforeseen circumstance. HumBugz will notify families in advance of any closures. HumBugz will make arrangements to provide a make-up class or provide a refund for any class that cannot be rescheduled. Please ensure that your most up-to-date and preferred contact methods are on file with HumBugz to avoid any communication delays.

You may cancel registration by the end of the first week of class for a full refund, less any non-refundable, one-time registration fees and classes attended. Missed/no show classes are considered attended and will not be refunded without extenuating circumstance. Cancelation notification must be provided at least 24H in advance of a missed class. Contact the center director to process the withdrawal. After week three of classes, no semester refunds will be issued without extenuating circumstance and approval by the center director. Refunds may be issued in the form future class credit if the withdrawal is outside the above withdrawal period. Materials must be returned to receive full refund, otherwise materials fee may apply.

A $50.00 service charge will be levied on all orders returned due to insufficient funds or for any other reason. Returned checks will not be deposited. Registrant must cover the returned check and registration with cash, money order, certified check or online/electronic payment. 

HumBugz requests that all toys are kept out of the studio space during class time. We understand that children may need a comfort or teething object, however we are not responsible for any lost, stolen or broken personal items. Toys can be disruptive as other children may want to play with them. We will have plenty of playtime during class including props to promote comfort and engagement.

We ask that shoes are removed in the designated entry areas of HumBugz. Barefeet, socks, or slip-resistant slippers are permitted in the active studio space. This minimizes dirt and germs on the studio floor.  

Food is not allowed on the HumBugz studio floor. Closed water bottles or baby bottles are permitted as needed. HumBugz offers a quiet/reception area with refreshments. You are welcome to use this area for snacking as needed before, during or after class to minimize crumbs and spilling on the studio floor. Please also be respectful by not bring common allergenic foods (peanut and nut-based) into HumBugz for the safety and wellbeing of all patrons. HumBugz reserves the right to change this policy at any time without notice. We want our little HumBugz marching around the studio, but not ants.

HumBugz encourages free movement about the studio as part of the learning process. However, running, hitting, kicking or any other unsafe behaviors may be redirected by the teacher, and we request that the supervising adult please redirect their child away from any behaviors that may cause harm to themselves or any other participant in class. Also, no animals or pets are permitted at HumBugz Studio. Of course, registered service animals are permitted (and welcomed) as by law.

If a free trial lesson is scheduled and missed (no show) or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson time, the free trial will be forfeited. The lesson may be rescheduled at the discretion of the instructor but will incur regular 1:1 lesson charges.  Missed/no show classes are considered attended and will not be refunded without approval. Cancelation notification must be provided at least 24H in advance of a missed class.

Safety for all participants is priority at HumBugz. HumBugz and its director/teachers reserve the right to request dismissal of a family if behavior jeopardizes the health, safety and/or well-being of any attendees or staff of a HumBugz class.  Dismissal may be for one class period or the remainder of the semester. The attending caregiver and registered entity will be respectfully notified verbally and in writing. HumBugz will make every effort to create a collaborative plan to avoid dismissal, but must place safety first.
